Job summary

Five Star Breaktime Solutions is seeking a friendly, dependable Catering Lead to join our Dining Services team in Albany, GA. You will prepare and serve food, maintain cleanliness, and deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment, leading dining associates and ensuring quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities include catering event support on and off premises, meal preparation per recipes, and maintaining sanitary work areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 1 year food service experience.
• Must pass a drug screen and pre-employment background check.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide food prep, cooking, delivery, set up, serving, breakdown and cleaning for Catering Events on and off premises.
• Lead the catering team, directing and supporting dining associates.
• Prepare hot and cold items per recipes and standards; ensure portion sizes and quality.
• Maintain sanitary workstation; handle knives, tools, and equipment safely.

Key Responsibilities

Provide food prep, cooking, delivery, set up, serving, breakdown and cleaning for Catering Events both on and off premises.

Serves as the catering leader, providing direction and support to dining associates.

Responsible for preparing hot and cold items for service according to established recipes and standards.

Complies with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies and procedures.

Samples, smells, and observe food to ensure conformance to recipes and standards of appearance and taste.

Maintains a sanitary workstation, including sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing.

Selects and uses knives, hand tools, utensils, and equipment to portion, cut, slice, mash, puree, whip, beat, roll, stuff, maintain holding temperature, cook or otherwise produce food in the assigned station.

Put-up truck orders and stock deliveries.

Remove the trash as needed.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma/ GED and 1 year food service experience.

Must be able to consent to a drug screen and pre-employment background check.

Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Ability to lift, bend,stoop, and reach throughout the shift.

Preferred Qualifications

Customer service/ point of sale experience.

Serv Safe certification.
