Job summary

Five Star Breaktime Solutions in Live Oak, FL is seeking a friendly Café Associate to join our Dining Services team. You will prepare and serve food items, maintain cleanliness, and provide outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include catering event prep, food production to recipe standards, sanitary workstation, stocking orders, and supporting the team to ensure a positive guest experience.

Qualifications

• Must have customer service experience and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
• Serv Safe certification preferred to ensure food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide food preparation, cooking, setup, serving, breakdown and cleaning for catering events on and off premises.
• Prepare hot and cold items according to established recipes and standards.
• Maintain sanitary workstation and observe food appearance and taste to ensure quality.
• Assist with stocking, knife handling, and maintaining holding temperatures.
• Support food program compliance and team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Provide food prep, cooking, delivery, set up, serving, breakdown and cleaning for Catering Events both on and off premises.

Responsible for preparing hot and cold items for service according to established recipes and standards.

Complies with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies and procedures.

Samples, smells, and observe food to ensure conformance to recipes and standards of appearance and taste.

Maintains a sanitary workstation, including sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing.

Selects and uses knives, hand tools, utensils, and equipment to portion, cut, slice, mash, puree, whip, beat, roll, stuff, maintain holding temperature, cook or otherwise produce food in the assigned station.

Put-up truck orders and stock deliveries.

Remove the trash as needed.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma/ GED and 1 year food service experience.

Must be able to consent to a drug screen and pre-employment background check.

Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Ability to lift, bend,stoop, and reach throughout the shift.

Preferred Qualifications

Customer service/ point of sale experience.

Serv Safe certification.
