Job summary

Front Porch Communities & Services seeks a Lead Cook at Claremont Manor Retirement Community. Under supervision, you will prepare culinary items for residents, execute menus, and contribute to guest satisfaction and profitability. You will be responsible for daily prep in pantry and fry areas, ensuring quality, appearance, and timely service.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and a Food Handlers’ certification. Pay range is $25.00–$27.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must have Food Handlers’ certification from local health department.
• Education with Equivalent Qualifications: High School diploma or GED.
• Experience requirements listed as 0 Year 2-4 years related experience and/or training; 0 Year 3-6 months related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Cook 2 Lead responsibilities; maintain high quality, tasteful food items.
• Provide quality customer service to residents, families, co-workers and vendors.
• Assist in training kitchen staff on food preparation and handling.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines and sanitation standards.
• Assist in menu planning and cost control efforts.
• Supervise cooks and kitchen staff as directed by leadership.
