Job summary

PEARL OF HINSDALE is seeking a Cook for the Dietary Department in a healthcare setting. You will prepare meals, supervise staff, and ensure timely service and safety standards. The role requires ability to read recipes and production sheets, and to maintain sanitation per health regulations.

You may cover for staff, track inventory, and assist with ordering. Serve Safe certification or willingness to earn it within 90 days is required, with at least 1 year of dietary or restaurant experience.

Qualifications

• High School or Culinary Tech graduate.
• Ability to read recipes, production sheets, diet orders, and tray tickets.
• Must be Serve Safe Certified or able to earn within the first 90 days of starting.
• Minimum of 1 year of previous Dietary (Healthcare) or Restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion hot and cold menu items according to the production sheet and counts.
• Serve resident meals according to correct service times.
• Cover for staff who call out due to illness.
• Maintain proper food and equipment temperatures and sanitation standards.
