Job summary

Luna Grill is hiring Lead Cooks for the Pico Rivera location to lead BOH operations during shifts, ensure food quality, safety, and speed of service, and supervise training and station assignments.

You will prepare, cook, plate items per recipes, operate grills and ovens, maintain sanitation, and support with prep and closing duties. Must have 2+ years leadership in high-volume or fast-casual, and be 18+ years old.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of kitchen leadership experience in a high-volume or fast-casual environment.
• Strong understanding of food prep, portion control, and recipe consistency.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation best practices.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead BOH operations during assigned shifts and maintain quality, safety, accuracy, and speed of service.
• Train team members, monitor food safety logs, coordinate station assignments, and ensure compliance with standards.
• Prepare, cook, and plate items according to recipes and portion standards.
• Operate grills, fryers, ovens, and kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain clean workstation and support prep, stocking, and closing duties.
• Direct and assist team members to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
