Job summary

Concessions International of USVI seeks a Lead Cook for Hibiscus Cafe at St. Thomas Airport, USVI. You will cook and plate meals to standard, manage sanitation, and guide kitchen operations in a fast-paced airport environment.

Responsibilities include training new cooks under the ACT program, enforcing company policies, and ensuring consistent quality across shifts. Strong basic cooking skills and a GED/HS diploma are required; must be prepared for varied airport conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; six months or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation and cooking skills; must be able to properly identify and use various cooking utensils and equipment.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and effectively communicate information in English.
• Mathematical ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers and common fractions.

Responsibilities

• Cook and plate food to production standards.
• Maintain a safe, sanitary work environment.
• Train new cooks on company standards and procedures (ACT program).
• Open and/or close side works per established checklists.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely.
