Job summary

NANA Management Services is seeking a Cook II for an indoor healthcare kitchen in Alaska. The role involves preparing, producing, and presenting a variety of foods, completing production sheets, and supporting a small team in a 16-resident facility.

The position requires at least two years of cooking in an assisted living or similar setting, knowledge of food safety, and the ability to follow recipes. Strong English communication and immunization record compliance are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum two years of cooking experience in an assisted living facility or similar health care setting.
• Experience using a variety of food production equipment.
• Alaska Food Handlers Card or ServSafe certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Must be able to provide immunization records (TB) or get vaccinated if offered.

Responsibilities

• Performs main line food production duties.
• Prepares food per par level sheets and follows Nutrition Services and Health Department standards.
• Completes production sheets and verifies supply needs.
• Ensures quantity and quality control and sanitation in assigned areas.
• Trains food service staff and follows standardized recipes.
• Records portions and waste; follows FIFO procedures.
• Maintains HACCP food safety standards and logs for temperatures and sanitation.
• Supports safety programs and may assist other staff as needed.
• Other duties relevant to the department may be assigned.
