Job summary

Sky River Casino seeks a Lead Cook under the Executive Chef to lead kitchen operations, prepare and present dishes, ensure portion control and plating, and maintain sanitation.

Responsibilities include supervising cooks, stocking stations, coordinating with outlets, maintaining clean work area, adhering to safety and company policies, and supporting other kitchens as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• High school Diploma or education equivalent required.
• Food service or Culinary Arts degree preferred.
• 3 years' restaurant kitchen and 5 years' overall culinary experience.
• Demonstrates commitment to guest service excellence and ethical conduct.

• Ensures that all cooking stations are adequately stocked with the necessary meal ingredients and cooking equipment.
• Prepares all dishes and proper portion control of items ordered for assigned outlet.
• Assists with the preparation, presentation, decoration, and storage of all food items.
• Communicates to his/her superior any difficulties, guest or internal customer comment and other relevant information.
• Complies with all department and company rules, regulations, policies, procedures and internal controls and government rules and regulations.
• Works in a safe manner at all times.
• Assists in other kitchens of the Casino as necessary.
• Maintains the work area clean and organized. Deep cleans the area at the end of shifts.
• Follows the proper closing procedure with cleaning and labeling.
• Attends periodic meetings and training sessions.
• Meets guests' needs through timely and proper handling of all equipment and chemicals.
• Promotes positive public and employee relations.
• Presents oneself in a neat and clean appearance at all times.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
