Job summary

Tigg's Canteen Services is seeking a Full-Time Permanent Lead Cook at the Ottawa County Jail in West Olive, MI. Starting pay is $22.00 per hour, with a schedule typically from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. You will supervise inmates, lead daily meal prep, and ensure compliance with recipes and food service standards.

The role requires strong leadership, ability to follow procedures, and flexibility to work weekends/holidays in a structured correctional setting. Training provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a structured correctional environment.
• Ability to read and follow company recipes.
• Ability to lead, instruct, and assist with kitchen operations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
• Flexibility to work varying days and hours between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
• Ability to obtain clearance into the facility.
