The Lead Cook is responsible for overseeing the kitchen staff who prepare, cook, and garnish meals for hotel guests and patrons. The role involves providing leadership and guidance to shift staff, working on hot or cold lines as needed, and focusing on quality and production levels to exceed customer expectations related to food quality and dining experience.

Salary range: $25/hour

Responsibilities
  • Lead by example, mastering hot and cold food item production.
  • Inspect presentation quality and expedite the line as needed.
  • Read recipes and follow measurement instructions accurately.
  • Communicate effectively with all team members.
  • Practice safe and sanitary food handling techniques.
  • Maintain workstation and equipment safety and cleanliness.
  • Apply basic knife skills for food preparation.
