* Assists in ensuring that all HRA Hospitality Brand Standards are maintained within the community.
* Identifies and reports food and supply needs for upcoming menus; may assist with placing orders.
* Oversees the hospitality department in the absence of the Campus Director of Hospitality.
* Assists with receiving, rotating, and storing products.
* Prepares menus and cooks food according to nutritional guidelines, regulations, and residents' dietary needs and preferences.
* Assists with menu planning.
* Coordinates food and services for special community events upon request.
* Ensures department compliance with all applicable regulations and HRA standards.
* Reports malfunctioning kitchen equipment to the Campus Director of Hospitality.
* Ensures proper food storage and handling according to infection control standards.
* Discloses any medication that might impair ability to perform job safely.
Non-Essential Functions:
* Demonstrates leadership by exemplifying CORE Values and encouraging teamwork.
* Attends community meetings and participates in Life Enrichment activities when possible.
* Completes required courses through HRA University.
* Understands fire evacuation procedures.
* Maintains a safe and secure environment for residents.
Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements:
* High school diploma required.
* 6 months to 1 year of cooking experience.
* Experience cooking for large groups is a plus.
* Food preparation certification preferred.
* Knowledge of state food-handling and kitchen regulations.
* Knowledge of OSHA standards, fire, and safety procedures.
