Qualifications

Associate's or bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field or equivalent hands-on experience.
3-5 years experience in estimating, quoting, applications engineering, or project management within industrial automation or electrical systems.
Strong familiarity with ERP/CRM software and cost-tracking practices.

Responsibilities

Serve as lead estimator for quotes on parts, panels, and complete control systems.
Turn quotes quickly using past systems and historical cost data.
Review RFQs, specs, and drawings to define scope and clarifications.
Gather labor-hour estimates from engineering/production; obtain material costs and quotes.
Prepare complete proposals with scope, pricing, lead times, and terms.
Collaborate with sales, engineering, purchasing, and production throughout quoting.
Present proposals to customers alongside sales; answer technical and commercial questions.
Ensure smooth handoff of awarded projects to engineering/production.
Log quotes and keep records in ERP/CRM; maintain estimating templates.
Track open quotes and follow up with sales to move opportunities.
