Overview

CEC Controls is currently recruiting a Controls Estimator for the Automotive Conveyor Industry for projects primarily in North America. The successful candidate will have Discrete Controls and Automotive (or related) experience. Candidate should also have a background in Controls Hardware design and build background. Experience in Ford, GM, Stellantis Assembly Conveyance is a bonus. This position offers the ability to work hybrid with very limited office time.

Responsibilities

• Prepares detailed estimates to meet customer requirements and company policies
• Prepare proposal documents and customer proposal forms, as required by customer request
• Assists with evaluation and improvements of company estimating process
• Prepares the feasibility/contract review form and schedule pricing review meetings when required
• Work with Project Management to establish budgets and coordinate scope to kickoff project when purchase orders are received
• Responsible for the follow up of proposals to determine status and obtain feedback about pricing
• Must be able to travel for short periods of time to attend Bid meetings, Value Analysis Meetings, Pre-award Meetings and assist in project implementation as needed

Qualifications

• Technical Engineering Degree or certifications preferred, or experience specifically related to the position.
• Must have 5+ years of experience in design and startup of electrical controls.
• Allen Bradley PLC Hardware and Software experience required.
• Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency, VBA coding a plus.
• Experience with PLC and HMI systems.
• Strong understanding of AutoCAD and ePlan electrical control drawings.
• Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from CEC Controls is required
• Must live in commuting distance to one of CEC Controls US offices.
