Dutech Systems is seeking a senior information systems/industrial automation specialist in the United States (Kansas area) to design, program, and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems within manufacturing environments.

The role emphasizes ladder logic, structured programming, HMI integration, and SDLC familiarity as part of a cross-functional team ensuring reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical field.
• 6+ years in information systems or industrial automation.
• Strong experience with SCADA, SQL, 4GL, scripting, and server-based tech.
• Hands-on PLC programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Ladder logic, structured programming, I/O mapping, and HMI knowledge.
• Experience with automated production and material-handling systems.
• Knowledge of industrial networks and plant-device integration.
• Experience creating and executing test plans.
• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).

• Strong experience with SCADA, SQL, 4GL programming, scripting, and server-based technologies .
• Hands-on experience programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting PLC-based control systems.
• Strong knowledge of ladder logic, structured programming, I/O mapping, and HMI integration.
• Experience troubleshooting automated production and material-handling systems in manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of industrial communication networks and plant-floor device integration.
• Experience developing and executing integrated test plans.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Ignition and iFix SCADA/HMI platforms.
• Experience with industrial barcode, scanning, and vision systems.
• Experience leading controls modernization and automation upgrade projects.
• Experience supporting both legacy and modern industrial control environments.
