Job summary

Modigent Company is seeking a Senior Controls Application Engineer to lead programming, start-up, and commissioning within building automation and energy management projects. You will manage field installations, oversee subcontractors, and ensure objectives meet specifications, schedule, and budget.

Requirements include a Mechanical Engineering degree or 5+ years of controls engineering, plus BACnet advanced applications certification and Niagara AX/N4 proficiency.

Qualifications

• Certified in BACnet Advanced Application Controllers.
• Proficient in Niagara AX or Niagara N4 and IT networking.
• Experience with Alerton products is preferred.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is expected.
• 5+ years of controls engineering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead programming, startup, and commissioning of building automation and energy management systems.
• Create engineering documents: sequence of operation, drawings, submittals.
• Oversee field installation and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Prepare estimates and quotes for controls projects.
• Provide on-site supervision and act as foreman for self-performed work.
• Coordinate with Controls Manager and other departments for project updates.
• Represent the company at conferences and events as required.
