Job summary

Entegris in Hillsboro, Oregon seeks a Lead Engineer for Control Systems Engineering to drive advanced automation across global manufacturing. You will lead OT hardware, instrumentation, and cybersecurity, advancing process technology and automation standards while supporting Rockwell Automation, Ignition, and MES platforms.

The role requires strong PLC/HMI skills, experience with industrial networks, and the ability to collaborate with Facilities, R&D, and Operations to deliver ROI-driven

Qualifications

• B.S. Engineering required with 7+ years in industrial automation and controls engineering.
• Experience managing capital and automation projects.
• Expert-level PLC programming and HMI/SCADA proficiency.
• Experience with industrial protocols such as Modbus, Ethernet/IP.
• Ability to lead multiple design assignments and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of AC/DC power distribution and electrical schematics.
• Familiarity with safety systems and hazardous environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support projects to expand manufacturing capacity and NPI.
• Drive Industry 4.0 initiatives, IIoT, edge computing, and data infrastructure.
• Write, debug, and optimize PLC logic and HMI interfaces.
• Collaborate with MES, ERP, and Business Systems teams to integrate data.
• Develop ROI analyses, roadmaps, and implementation strategies.
• Provide commissioning, validation, and site-wide automation leadership.
• Travel up to 20% for site evaluations and commissioning.
