Job summary

Energy Transfer seeks an experienced specialist to design, develop, and implement control systems across process facilities and pipeline points. You will lead projects, provide DCS/PLC automation support, and generate automated production reports to optimize operations.

Requires proficiency in PLC ladder logic, instrumentation basics, and safety-focused design. Expect collaboration with the Asset Management Team and potential site duties in industrial settings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Fractionator Controls and Advanced Controls preferred.
• Ability to program PLC Ladder Logic.
• Experience in Process Historian Design and Maintenance.
• Experience with instrumentation basics and HART Communications.
• Experience with MOOBUS.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
• Familiar with Failsafe Emergency Shutdown Systems and equipment protection fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement control system (logic software and hardware) to meet integrated system requirements in DeltaV – OPTO – AllenBradley.
• Serve as lead on assigned projects or engineering assignments.
• Provide day to day DCS and PLC automation support.
• Create and maintain daily and custom automated production reports.
• Maintain a safe working environment and participate in safety programs.
• Develop or modify control logic to meet changes in equipment or operating conditions.
• Develop, maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures for Asset Management Team.
• Advise Management on safety-related matters to ensure accident-free operations.
• Participate in facility audits as expert on local/state/federal construction techniques.
• Identify training resources for instrumentation and controls.
