Job summary

Infinity Staffing Professionals is seeking a Control Systems Design Engineer to design, program, and integrate electrical and automation systems for custom industrial machinery. You will develop schematics, program PLCs, and support commissioning across customer sites.

Collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing, and robotics teams to deliver robust automation solutions while ensuring safety and compliance. Some travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, EET, or Mechatronics
• Internship or co-op in manufacturing, automation, or industrial controls
• Willingness to travel up to 25%
• Authorized to work in the United States (ITAR)
• U.S. person status required for ITAR compliance

Responsibilities

• Design electrical control systems for custom industrial machinery and automated equipment.
• Develop electrical schematics for control panels and machine wiring using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Program PLCs, configure HMI/SCADA systems, and support software architecture for automated solutions.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineering, manufacturing, robotics, and project teams to integrate complete systems.
• Support equipment commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting at customer and production sites.
• Manage engineering tasks within project budgets, timelines, and scope requirements.
• Prepare technical documentation including drawings, panel layouts, bill of materials, and functional descriptions.
• Ensure compliance with CE, NEC, NFPA 70E, NFPA 79, and internal safety standards.
• Provide technical expertise during design reviews and cross-functional planning sessions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for controls engineering processes, tools, and standards
