Job Description:

We're seeking an experienced Senior Content Strategist to lead the strategy and execution of a growing, high-volume content program focused on career storytelling, talent attraction, candidate engagement, and recruiter enablement.

This is a unique opportunity to build and scale a content ecosystem from the ground up. You'll help shape the vision, processes, and content strategy for a program that includes articles, video, candidate communications, newsletters, recruitment marketing assets, and more.

The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and hands-on content leader who can develop compelling narratives, manage editorial workflows, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and deliver high-quality content that informs and engages multiple audiences.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the end-to-end strategy and execution of a large-scale career-focused content program, including editorial planning, content development, publishing cadence, and performance measurement.
  • Develop and manage editorial calendars that support ongoing content production across multiple channels and formats.
  • Produce and oversee a high volume of written and video content, ensuring consistency, accuracy, quality, and audience engagement.
  • Identify compelling story opportunities and work with subject matter experts to bring them to life through impactful content.
  • Create content that supports multiple audiences, including prospective candidates, interns, recruiters, and professionals already established within the field.
  • Develop recruitment marketing and candidate engagement materials, including emails, social media content, one-pagers, flyers, and other promotional assets.
  • Build and manage a candidate newsletter program, including audience strategy, content planning, distribution, and performance evaluation.
  • Collaborate with creative partners to provide direction on graphics, video concepts, and visual storytelling.
  • Manage content within publishing platforms and ensure content is published accurately and efficiently.
  • Partner closely with compliance, legal, proofreading, and business stakeholders to navigate reviews and approvals while maintaining momentum.
  • Track content performance and leverage analytics to continuously improve engagement, reach, and business impact.
  • Support additional content strategy and thought leadership initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Political Science, or a related field.
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in content strategy, content management, editorial planning, corporate communications, recruitment marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to provide clear, actionable feedback that elevates content quality.
  • Experience developing content strategies that drive audience engagement and support business goals.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using generative AI and large language model tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, Writer, or similar platforms, to support content creation, research, editing, and ideation.
  • Ability to balance creativity with governance, compliance requirements, and established review processes.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Experience working within large, complex organizations and navigating cross-functional partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of digital content, video content, and audience engagement best practices.
  • Comfortable building processes, creating structure, and driving results in evolving environments.

Preferred Skills

Experience planning, creating, publishing, and optimizing content across multiple channels while maintaining quality, consistency, and alignment with business objectives.

Writing & Editing

Advanced writing, editing, and editorial review capabilities with a strong understanding of audience-focused storytelling and content development.

Strategic Thinking

Ability to evaluate business needs, identify opportunities, and develop impactful content strategies that deliver measurable results.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Strong partnership skills with the ability to work effectively across business, creative, compliance, and operational teams.

Project Management

Proven ability to manage timelines, workflows, approvals, and deliverables across multiple initiatives and stakeholders.

Data-Driven Decision Making

Experience using analytics and performance insights to guide content planning and optimize outcomes.

Attention to Detail

Commitment to accuracy, consistency, and quality across all content deliverables.

Comfort embracing new technologies, tools, and evolving ways of working, including AI-enabled content development practices.
