Job summary

PBS Arlington, VA, is seeking an Associate Director, Content Packaging to oversee day-to-day operations of the Content Packaging department within PBS Technology. You will manage team workload and ensure timely, accurate metadata and media delivery for PBS National Kids, General Audience and Pledge Programming.

You will facilitate cross-team communication, supervise editors, and help develop SOPs and department metrics. Strong leadership and post-production knowledge are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in communications, television or related fields.
• BA in Communications, Television/Film production or equivalent.
• Experience in post-production, including AVID or similar tools.
• Knowledge of broadcast technology and operations.
• Experience supervising editors in post-production processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee processing of broadcast deliverables including QC, metadata QC, edit supervision and distribution package assembly.
• Supervise updating media for editorial or technical issues and timely repackaging.
• Assist Director in developing SOPs and department metrics.
• Support internal and external clients regarding PBS technical specs and distribution requirements.
• Represent Content Packaging at interdepartmental meetings.
• Train and develop Content Packaging team.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
