Responsibilities

Lead Construction Supervisor

Position Summary

Habitat for Humanity Golden Empire, Inc. is seeking an experienced, hands-on Lead Construction Supervisor to oversee and participate in residential construction, remodeling, home repair, and new home construction projects.


This is a working-lead position requiring a skilled construction professional who can effectively manage day-to-day jobsite operations while also performing hands-on construction work. The Lead Construction Supervisor will provide direction to employees, subcontractors, and volunteers while helping ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of workmanship.


Compensation and Schedule


  • Pay Range: $28.00-$35.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

  • Employment Status: Full-Time, Nonexempt

  • Schedule: Typically, 40 hours per week


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in framing, drywall, carpentry, remodeling, residential repairs, and home maintenance.

  • Previous experience supervising or leading construction employees, subcontractors, and/or volunteers.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work across multiple projects.

  • Effective leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • A dependable and professional work ethic.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with individuals of varying construction experience and skill levels.

  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are required. The employee must also be able to reliably report to assigned jobsites.

  • A background check, drug screening, and pre-employment physical will take place after a conditional offer of employment.

  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including the lifting and physical demands described below.


Physical Requirements


  • Frequently lifting and carrying materials and equipment weighing approximately 50-80 pounds.

  • Occasionally moving or assisting with materials and equipment weighing up to approximately 120 pounds; heavier items may require team lifting and/or mechanical assistance, as appropriate.

  • Performing physically demanding construction work for extended periods.

  • Working safely in active residential construction environments.
