Job summary

Forge Construction is the in-house general contractor for Denton Floyd Real Estate Group, delivering ground-up multifamily, senior living, and industrial projects in the Louisville and Southern Indiana region. The Superintendent leads the field, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, budget control, and quality, from mobilization through occupancy.

The role directs trade partners, drives the master schedule, and partners with PMs, Vector Design Group, and DF Property Management to hand over

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction field experience, with at least 2 years as a Superintendent or lead Assistant Superintendent on-site.
• Experience on wood-frame or podium multifamily, senior living, or comparable commercial/residential projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specs, and schedules.
• Working knowledge of building codes, inspection processes, and construction means and methods.
• Procore (or similar) proficiency, Microsoft Office, and mobile field tools.
• Valid driver’s license and travel between project sites.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day field schedule and run 3-week look-aheads tied to the master schedule.
• Plan site logistics, sequencing, laydown, deliveries, and crane/equipment use.
• Lead weekly subcontractor coordination meetings and daily huddles.
• Identify schedule risks early and bring recovery plans to the PM and Senior Superintendent.
• Direct trade partners, enforce scope and workmanship standards.
• Verify work in place for pay applications and document delays or damages.
• Lead Forge’s safety program with daily inspections and OSHA compliance.
• Execute QA/QC program, conduct pre-installation meetings, and coordinate inspections.
