Job summary

Contegra Construction Co. is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee complex commercial, industrial, manufacturing, distribution, and design-build projects from preconstruction through closeout.

This leader will drive planning, coordination, and delivery while building strong relationships with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and field personnel. The Project Manager will oversee project financials, schedules, contracts, procurement, risk management, and overall

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive project management experience in commercial construction.
• Proven success managing large, complex construction projects from start to finish.
• Experience with commercial, industrial, manufacturing, distribution, or other complex construction projects.
• Design-build experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and project financial management.
• Experience reviewing drawings, specifications, subcontract agreements, and contract documents.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.
• Proficiency with construction management software including Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction projects from preconstruction through final completion and warranty.
• Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and cost controls.
• Lead project planning, procurement, subcontractor buyout, and contract administration.
• Coordinate closely with Superintendents to ensure field operations align with project objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve issues impacting schedule, budget, or quality.
• Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, pay applications, and project documentation.
• Lead project meetings with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Review project financial performance, including forecasting, billing, cost reporting, and profitability.
• Ensure projects comply with contract requirements, company standards, and quality expectations.
• Support preconstruction efforts including estimating, value engineering, and constructability reviews when needed.
• Mentor Project Engineers and other project team members while fostering collaboration across departments.
