Job summary

Timmons Group is seeking a full-time Construction Materials Testing Project Manager for the Geotechnical and Construction Services Group in our Richmond, VA office. The PM is responsible for technical quality, profitability, schedule, staff coordination, client communications, negotiating scopes and fees, billing, and assisting in fee collection.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in science or engineering, 10+ years in CMT, and 5+ years of project management experience; a Virginia

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering is preferred.
• 10+ years in construction materials testing (CMT) field.
• 5+ years of CMT project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage traditional materials testing and special inspections projects.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and staff on construction issues.
• Review field reports and write summary reports.
• Evaluate site conditions and provide recommendations with input from senior staff.
• Mentor junior staff and assist with proposals and presentations.
