Job summary

CERTERRA is seeking a Construction Materials Project Manager in the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX area for a full-time role. The candidate will oversee material testing and inspections, coordinate with designers and clients, and manage budgets and resources to meet project specifications.

Minimum 5 years in construction materials projects, strong reading of plans, and certification requirements (ICC, NICET II, EIT/PE a plus) are essential.

Qualifications

• Reading and comprehending plans and specifications is required.
• Experience performing inspections and testing of construction materials.
• Strong knowledge of testing methods, standards, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work with project designers and clients to ensure client specifications are followed.
• Perform routine to complex inspections and testing of construction materials in the field.
• Review daily reports on observation activities and test data for accuracy and completeness.
• Track project budgets and prepare invoices.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source materials meeting project specs and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare proposals and deliver to client.
• Manage schedules, budgets, and resources related to material acquisition and testing activities.
• Oversee quality control processes and field inspections to ensure material compliance.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and contractors to address material-related challenges.
• Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and industry standards across the lifecycle.
• Lead and mentor project team members.
