Actalent seeks a Special Inspector / Lead Construction Materials Technician to perform field inspection and testing on large commercial and data center projects nationwide. You will lead field teams, ensure conformance to plans and codes, and coordinate with engineers, project managers, and contractors.

The role requires travel, flexibility, and strong safety discipline, including radiation safety when using nuclear gauges, with a permanent base in Minneapolis, MN.

Qualifications

• Experience performing field inspection and testing on commercial or industrial projects.
• Proficient in concrete inspection with field sampling and testing per ACI.
• Skilled in soil testing and using nuclear gauges for density/moisture.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specs.
• Strong initiative and leadership for field teams.

Responsabilités

• Perform field inspection and testing of concrete, soils, and masonry.
• Lead field teams on large commercial and data center projects.
• Coordinate test plans, document results, and prepare reports.
• Communicate findings with engineers, owners reps, and contractors.
• Travel and work extended periods on project sites nationwide.
