Job summary

Ranger Construction Corp. is seeking a cost estimator to collect project specs, determine quantities and costs, secure aggregates, coordinate with subcontractors, and build accurate estimates for completing projects.

The role requires collaboration with engineers, suppliers, and field teams to ensure bids meet budget, safety, environmental, and quality demands. Initial pay depends on experience; the company supports growth and professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in CM or Civil Engineering.
• At least 5 years' experience; B2W software preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and provide bid amounts for future projects.
• Collaborate with engineers to clarify specifications and details of a project.
• Solicit material suppliers and subcontractors to reach a timely and profitable outcome.
• Determine necessary resources within budget constraints.
• Identify safety concerns and address them within the bid process.
• Provide all submittals to the engineer prior to installation of materials or equipment.
• Determine the appropriate subcontractors for the project.
• Evaluate progress regarding schedule and final completion; adjust bids based on historical costs.
• Communicate bid assumptions, construction costs and scheduling details to project leadership.
