Job summary

Morton Buildings, Inc. seeks a Construction Crew Lead to support the Crew Foreman in building projects, promoting safety, quality and a positive customer experience. The role offers potential for career advancement and requires leadership and teamwork.

Responsibilities include reading plans, guiding the crew, and ensuring timely, safe completion of quality buildings. A Class A CDL is required, with willingness to obtain OSHA 10-hour and other certifications. Travel up to 10% may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in building construction.
• Carpentry, framing, post-frame construction, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Class A CDL license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Willingness to obtain OSHA 10-hour, Equipment Operation and Competent Person Certifications once hired.
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative and provide leadership.
• Ability to participate in formal training programs.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including Saturdays during peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Keep current with Morton Buildings safety and construction procedures, methods and standards.
• Read, understand and build according to construction plans.
• Lead the crew to complete quality buildings and promote profitability.
• Provide construction expertise, organizational and communication skills to deliver quality projects.
• Assist in training crew members and new hires to ensure safety and procedures are followed.
• Help establish a safe, organized, productive and enjoyable workplace.
