Job summary

Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. is seeking an experienced WMS/YMS Solutions Architect to lead the design, configuration, and implementation of warehouse management and yard management systems.

You will collaborate with enterprise systems, ERP, TMS, and distribution teams to deliver scalable, high-quality software solutions for multiple distribution centers and facilities. The role requires 5+ years in IT/consulting within retail/distribution, strong problem solving, and excellent communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science; substitution with relevant experience allowed.
• 5+ years of experience in IT or Consulting/Services with focus on retail and distribution solutions.
• 3+ years of hands-on WMS, YMS design and implementation experience.
• WMS workflow knowledge including multi-channel order management and integration with logistics systems.
• Extensive knowledge of WMS, YMS integration with ERP and inventory systems.
• Proven problem-solving and team-building skills.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized; able to work under pressure.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead on WMS & YMS design, development, and configuration changes.
• Deliver WMS & YMS functionality coordinating with enterprise systems, ERP and logistics SMEs.
• Design, develop, and implement high-quality software solutions with business stakeholders.
• Participate in projects and coordinate IT application support across systems.
• Contribute to technical and functional design; suggest efficiency/cost improvements.
• Help analyze, troubleshoot, and tune integrations with YMS, TMS and WMS.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure to resolve performance and production issues.
• Manage integration challenges between ERP and external applications.
• Support and enhance existing distribution rules and reporting setups.
• Be available after hours to support Distribution centers as needed.

PurposeThis position is the primary responsible for WMS, YMS and other Supply chain solutions design, configuration and implementation. Supporting F&D DC’s and design enhancements, this position will work closely with internal and external business and technical resources to support delivering a top quality system for DC’s & other F&D facilities. Keys to success include: providing functional choices to meet business needs, leading successful system implementations and displaying strong technical and communications skills.Minimum Eligibility RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science (relevant experience can be substituted for the required education on the basis of one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education)5+ years of experience in IT, or Consulting/Services industry with a focus on execution of solution in the retail and distribution industry, or a combination3+ years of hands-on WMS, YMS design and implementation experienceWMS work flow solution knowledge featuring multi-channel order management, integration with logistics systems to support ship to site, ship to store, returns management and claimsExtensive system and architecture knowledge of the WMS, YMS and its functionality for integration with ERP systems, and inventory management systemsProven problem-solving and team building skillsStrong computer skills including Microsoft Office SuiteMust be detail-oriented and highly organizedMust possess excellent customer service skills and work well under pressureAbility to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environmentEssential FunctionsServe as the lead on WMS & YMS design, development, configuration changes, modification, tuning the functional rules for optimized sales and implementationResponsible for delivering WMS & YMS business functionality by working closely with enterprise systems, integration & TMS SME’s, ERP and corporate system developers and infrastructure team membersDesign, develop, and implement highest-quality software application solutions using application modules and work closely with the business (Distribution and Merchandising) to understand functional needsParticipate in projects and provide cross-functional IT application support coordination on issues & design planning and integration across systemsParticipate in technical & functional design. Make recommendations that improve efficiency, minimize cost and support future business growth plansHelp analyze, troubleshoot, and tune and integrate with YMS, TMS and WMS. Work closely with Infrastructure team to solve performance and production issues and provide permanent solutionsManage integration challenges between enterprise systems and other external applicationsSupport and enhance the rules and configuration set up currently in the Distribution and reporting SpaceBe available to support F&D Distribution centers and consult on integration points after hours as necessaryWorking Conditions (travel, hours, environment)This position is salaried, knowing it may include hours which exceed eight hours in a day or forty hours in a weekLimited travel may be required including air and car travelWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles.
