Job summary

L3Harris is seeking a Lead, Configuration Management in Nashville, TN to drive data integrity and CM processes across hardware and software programs. You will mentor CM team members and collaborate with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and IT to ensure compliance and efficient lifecycle management.

You will own CM policies, manage documentation, and lead change management activities including ECRs/ECOs/ECPs, while supporting audits and release readiness in a fast-paced defense environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Graduate Degree in Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 2-4 years experience in configuration management and data management within a PLM environment and with Windchill and/or other PLM tools.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
• Experience with software/configuration management processes and product release/delivery

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain Configuration Management policies, procedures, numbering standards, and lifecycle best practices.
• Serve as the primary CM subject matter expert, providing training and mentorship to cross-functional teams.
• Ensure CM processes align with industry standards and support audit compliance.
• Define and manage product structure, configuration item attributes, and lifecycle data.
• Lead engineering change management activities (ECRs, ECOs, ECPs) through review and implementation.
• Administer change control boards and coordinate release activities across the lifecycle.
• Administer and optimize Windchill for data integrity and release management.
• Support audits and drive corrective action closure.
• Develop and maintain CM documentation and plans.
• Lead continuous improvement across multiple programs.
