Job summary

Concrete Construction Services Inc (CCS) is seeking a highly skilled Concrete Superintendent to oversee civil and site concrete construction projects. You will manage daily field operations, supervise crews and subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality, and production targets are met on varied job sites.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive concrete experience, and the ability to read construction drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Concrete Superintendent or similar supervisory role in civil/site concrete construction.
• Strong knowledge of concrete construction methods and field operations.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all field crews and subcontractors.
• Interpret construction plans, specifications, and civil drawings.
• Develop and maintain daily and weekly work schedules.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, codes, and specifications.
• Coordinate inspections with owners, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Ensure foremen complete accurate daily reports.
• Provide clear direction and leadership to field crews.
• Resolve jobsite issues and maintain productivity standards.
• Mentor and evaluate foremen and field personnel.
• Assist in manpower planning and task sequencing.
• Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Conduct daily jobsite safety meetings and hazard assessments.
• Ensure compliance with PPE requirements.
• Document incidents, near misses, and corrective actions.
• Verify forms, rebar, embeds, elevations, ADA compliance, and layout prior to placement.
• Ensure proper concrete mix design, slump, testing, and finishing procedures.
• Conduct punch list inspections and ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and minimize rework.
• Track project progress and update schedules as needed.
• Review daily logs including manpower, equipment, and materials.
• Monitor delivery tickets, pour logs, and field reports.
• Communicate delays or issues promptly to management.
• Coordinate equipment usage and maintenance.
• Ensure timely delivery and proper storage of materials.
• Prevent waste, loss, and misuse of company assets.
