Job summary

BCI Construction INC is seeking an experienced concrete foreman to form, place and finish concrete from footing to flatwork. You will lead crews, mentor teammates, and collaborate with field leadership to meet project specifications and safety standards on site in Minnesota.

Responsibilities include preparing surfaces, establishing elevations, forming, pouring and finishing per plans, and performing QA/QC to ensure quality workmanship. Occasional light carpentry and demolition may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of experience with Commercial Concrete required.
• As a BCI authorized driver, you must comply with all applicable DOT regulations, including successful completion of medical and drug evaluations required to obtain and a DOT health card.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Comply with BCI site safety first and foremost.
• Collaborate with Field Leadership and subcontractors to understand daily construction activities and assignments, to lead crews to execute construction goals throughout projects.
• Receive direction from concrete foreman, while training & mentoring those working with you.
• Prepare surfaces for concrete work – i.e. final grading; Concrete layout activities; Establish elevations from given benchmarks to provide top of wall, top of column, top of slab, etc.
• Forming & fine grading of flatwork, sub-grade; Forming & assembly of footing / foundation forms.
• Pour & Finish to project specific specifications – Flatwork & Foundations.
• Understand plans, specifications. Ensure specifications and regulations outlined in architectural and engineering plans are followed.
• Perform QA/QC practices to ensure projects meet specifications and quality craftsmanship.
• Supplemental work will consist of light carpentry and selective demolition.
• Verify all materials reflect project specific approved submittals along with ensuring design drawings and shop drawings coincide prior to installation.
