Job summary

DSP Constructors is seeking a Concrete Finisher Foreman to lead and manage concrete crews on a Michigan project. You will oversee layout, formwork, pouring, and finishing of concrete, while also setting up and maintaining equipment and ensuring crew safety.

You will play a key role in planning and scheduling, coordinating with other teams, and ensuring work aligns with project specifications. Leadership, hands-on expertise, and a strong safety focus are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Concrete Foreman or similar role.
• Experience running a commercial concrete site and interior floor work.
• In-depth understanding of concrete layout, formwork, pouring, finishing, curing, and saw cutting.
• Ability to use a tablet to access and use construction related documents, record daily log information, timekeeping, and production recording.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to comply with corporate and MIOSHA safety regulations.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and project plans.
• Ability to estimate labor and material needs before and during projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct concrete crews, assign tasks, and ensure efficient workflow.
• Review blueprints, set up forms, install rebar, and ensure proper concrete placement and finishing techniques.
• Oversee the operation and maintenance of concrete equipment, manage inventory, and ensure material supply.
• Enforce safety regulations, conduct pre-job inspections, and promote a safe working environment.
• Inspect finished concrete work, identify and correct defects, and ensure work meets project specifications.
• Communicate project status to clients, management, and other teams, and maintain records of progress, materials, and labor.
• Train new crew members on proper techniques and safety procedures.
• Troubleshoot issues that arise during the construction process.
