Job summary

Ro, a direct-to-patient healthcare company, seeks a Lead Compounding Pharmacy Technician in Romeoville, IL to oversee non-sterile compound operations and a technician team. You will ensure safety, accuracy, SOP adherence, and regulatory compliance under pharmacist supervision.

Responsibilities include coaching, training, scheduling, inventory management, and liaison with cross-functional teams to improve processes.

Qualifications

• Illinois pharmacy technician license and PTCB certification.
• Minimum 2 years of pharmacy technician experience, with leadership or supervisory experience.
• On-site work 40 hours per week (Mon-Fri) with rotating weekends.
• Solid knowledge of USP <795> and <800> guidelines and safety practices.
• Proven ability to train, mentor, and manage technicians in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong organizational, scheduling, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee daily operations of the non-sterile compounding technician team.
• Coach, conduct 1:1s, and deliver feedback to drive accountability and growth.
• Train and develop technicians; enforce onboarding and SOP adherence.
• Supervise compounding of hazardous and non-hazardous medications with regulatory compliance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, inspection-ready environment through sanitation leadership.
• Collaborate with Lead Compounding Pharmacist to resolve operational issues and meet demand.
• Partner with PIC to ensure ongoing USP compliance and cross-functional alignment.
• Coordinate scheduling, inventory control, cycle counts, and documentation.
• Develop and track team metrics and performance goals.
