Job summary

Archer, headquartered in Silicon Valley, seeks a seasoned fabrication leader to drive composite part production across our prototype-driven aerospace programs. You will mentor teams, interpret drawings, and ensure every part meets strict quality and safety standards in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in fast-paced prototyping environments (5+ years).
• 10+ years in aerospace and/or automotive as an engineering technician.
• Solid understanding of mechanical/structural assembly techniques and fastener use.
• Knowledge of aircraft safety procedures, tool control, FOD prevention, and regs.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and instructions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional teams.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to operate under shifting priorities in a high-pressure setting.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and work near hazardous materials.

Responsibilities

• Lead fabrication of composite parts and provide manufacturing input to solve issues.
• Direct, coach, and mentor fabrication team; allocate personnel by skill.
• Ensure adherence to procedures and proper communication of design requirements.
• Read engineering drawings, schematics, and test procedures; ensure traceability.
• Lay up composites per process specs; perform bagging, infusion, bonding, cure cycles.
• Inspect parts for defects and perform repairs or refinishing as needed.
• Maintain documentation of material usage, process steps, and inspections.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and design teams on improvements.
• Identify part buildability improvements and optimize processes.
