Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with proven experience as a compensation professional; completion of World at Work coursework.
  • Advanced Excel skills with exceptional ability to focus on key issues, research, gather, and integrate information from a variety of sources to develop sound recommendations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with executive presence; exceptional ability to develop logical and compelling PowerPoint presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and tact; demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients, finding common ground in completing tasks and solving problems.
  • Exceptional project management skills; highly organized and experienced at successfully multi-tasking; driven to learn and stay current professionally

Responsibilities

  • Develop training materials and programs educating HR Partners and managers on compensation topics; lead formal education sessions and presentations.
  • Oversee the market data process, analyze pay trends, and present actionable recommendations to HR leadership.
  • Research wage/hour laws and IRS regulations; conduct FLSA reviews and advise on policy updates.
  • Create base pay strategies, policies, and programs; lead annual salary planning and maintain salary structures.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executives, managers, business leaders, and HR Partners; solve compensation issues.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop other team members while growing the HR function

Overview
Lead Compensation Analyst

Location: Remote - US Work Model: Remote

About the Role

The Compensation Analyst is responsible for developing, implementing, and administering compensation programs, practices, and policies. Activities include analyzing, evaluating, and preparing recommendations to ensure the company maintains a competitive and cost-effective position in the markets in which we operate.

Please note, this is an individual contributor role.

Here's What You'll Do
  • Develop and execute training materials and programs that educate HR Business Partners and managers on compensation-related topics and initiatives; lead formal education sessions and presentations and provide recommendations to HR Business Partners, Recruiting, and business leaders based on an understanding of each department's needs and goals
  • Oversee the market data process including gathering, submitting, and analyzing data; proactively analyze pay trends and metrics, presenting findings and making actionable recommendations in technologies, processes, and plan designs to HR leadership
  • Research federal, state, and local compliance issues such as wage and hour laws and IRS regulations; conduct FLSA reviews as needed and make recommendations for policy and process updates based on changes in the law
  • Create base pay strategies, policies, and programs; lead annual salary planning and maintenance of salary structures; leverage expertise and significant best practice knowledge to lead compensation initiatives involving analysis, revision, development, or re-design of compensation programs
  • Build and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the business by staying current on initiatives, challenges, and opportunities; operate as a trusted advisor to executives, managers, business leaders, and HR Business Partners, identifying and solving compensation issues and ensuring programs meet the needs of the business and employees
  • Operate as an innovative thought leader, contributing significantly to the overall growth and quality of the HR department; mentor, coach, and train other team members
