Job summary

American Training in Andover, MA is seeking a Lead Community Support Colleague for its Transition Program serving individuals with intellectual disabilities and related disorders. You will guide daily activities, create and monitor plans, and support staff in implementing therapeutic curricula with a focus on independence and safety.

The role requires strong organization and crisis-management skills, experience in developmental disabilities, and the ability to document accurately.

Qualifications

• Minimum HS diploma, Bachelor's degree or behavioral certifications preferred but may be waived if experience suffices.
• At least three years of Developmental Disabilities experience, with challenging behaviors.
• Valid driver's license and CORI/DPPC requirements are needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day program activities, including programming, data collection, and record-keeping.
• Work with ISP Team to set goals and implement Support Plans for Guests.
• Direct CSCs in behavior interventions and safe programming.
• Ensure safety during activities and transportation; manage crises calmly and effectively.
• Document incidents and debrief with clinical team and Program Director.
