Job summary

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington seeks a Group Leader to support adults with developmental disabilities in program-based and community settings, guiding the Community Options Program. You will supervise Community Support Specialists, coordinate daily activities, ensure documentation of goals and data, and assist the Program Manager with operations and special events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Verification of foreign equivalency required.
• 3 years of experience working with adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities
• At least 1 year of demonstrated lead or team lead experience
• Ability to pass CMT Training and become certified by the MBON. Must maintain certification.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with participants, families, staff, and community partners.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook 365, and electronic documentation systems.
• Must possess a valid local, driver’s license and the ability to maintain a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Inform parents/caregivers of extra clothing and supplies needs when necessary.
• Actively communicate with participants, their families, and team members at all times.
• Direct Community Support Specialist while on-site and/or in the community to ensure activities are offered.
• Assist staff and participants in implementing daily activities on-site and in the community.
• Ensure goals and data from activities are recorded, including behavior supports notes.
• Work with the Program Manager to ensure proper staff ratios at all times.
• Report concerns and incidents per agency protocol.
• Maintain program site cleanliness and assist with staff training and engagement.
• Support compliance audits, trainings, and monthly staff meetings.
• Pass medication to participants as directed.
