Job summary

Catholic Charities Archdiocese of Washington is seeking a Group Leader to support adults with developmental disabilities in program-based and community settings. You will guide Community Support Specialists, coordinate activities, and help drive person-centered outcomes.

You will partner with the Program Manager to oversee operations, ensure procedures are followed, and lead events and community engagement to enhance participant experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; verification of foreign equivalency required.
• 3 years experience working with adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities.
• At least 1 year of demonstrated lead or team lead experience.
• Ability to pass CMT Training and become MBON certified; must maintain certification.

Responsibilities

• Inform parents/caregivers of needs for extra clothing and supplies.
• Interact with participants, families, and staff to ensure effective communication.
• Direct Community Support Specialists on-site and in the community to offer activities.
• Assist staff and participants in implementing daily activities on-site and in the community.
• Ensure goals and data are properly recorded, including behavior supports.
• Maintain proper staff ratios (e.g., 1:1, 1:3)
• Report concerns and incidents per agency protocol.
• Support program maintenance, cleanliness, and safety.
• Ensure program compliance and training completion.
