Job summary

The Iowa Department of Corrections – Sixth District seeks a Community Corrections Supervisor to oversee Probation Parole Officers in the Linn County field services unit. The role includes evaluating subordinates, auditing casework, and contributing to district leadership decisions.

Responsibilities involve collaboration with local service providers, statewide initiatives, and budget monitoring to improve service delivery and community safety. A strong emphasis on integrity and detail is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in any field, and experience equal to four years of full-time work in human services, criminal justice, or corrections.
• Experience evaluating subordinates, performance management, and audit reviews is preferred.
• Ability to participate in district leadership and collaborate on statewide initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates the work of subordinates and recommends personnel actions.
• Reviews casework and performs audit reviews for quality assurance.
• Serves on the district leadership team and participates in decision-making processes.
• Collaborates with supervisors to implement initiatives and address gaps in service delivery.
• Monitors field services budget with input on development and ongoing oversight.
