Job summary

Washington State Department of Corrections, Mount Vernon Field Office, seeks a full-time Community Corrections Officer 3 (CCO3) to supervise offenders in the community. The role leads other CCOs and conducts investigations, intake, and assessments while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to improve public safety.

Position operates Monday–Friday, 0800–1700, in Mount Vernon, WA, with a salary range of $6,407.00 to $8,612.00 monthly; benefits and career progression available

Qualifications

• Armed staff must be able to carry and properly use a department-issued firearm.
• Must possess and maintain an unrestricted vehicle operator's license valid in WA.
• Willingness to work with individuals with criminal backgrounds and remain objective.

Responsibilities

• Supervise individuals under supervision in the community per law and agency policy.
• Conduct investigations and searches.
• Complete intake for supervised individuals.
• Administer a variety of assessments.
• Manage electronic and physical files.
• Engage with supervised individuals to promote positive change.
• Enforce supervision conditions and the law.
• Lead other Community Corrections Officers.
• Act as the Unit Duty Officer.
• Other duties as assigned or necessary.
