Job summary

IES is seeking a Communications Technician II in the United States to lead small installer teams, coordinate daily workload, and ensure safety and quality standards are met. The role requires performing cable terminations, mounting hardware, testing, and proficient paperwork processing.

Strong supervisory ability and tool proficiency are essential for project success. The position offers full benefits after 30 days and a competitive hourly wage of USD 24.00–28.00, with on-site responsibilities

Qualifications

Must have at least a high school diploma or GED.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in telecommunications or related technical field with ability to supervise others.
Proficient with listed tools and able to interpret blueprints and project documents.
Must know universal communications color codes.

Responsibilities

Install work area outlets for floor, modular furniture and wall; terminate CAT 3 & CAT 5 jacks; mount face plates and boxes.
Build and install racks, patch panels, grounding, cross connects and fiber optic hardware; complete IDC connections.
Perform continuity tests, troubleshoot opens/shorts, and use volt-ohm meter; identify active voice or data circuits.
Coordinate crew performance and training; manage timelines to complete projects.
Complete all IES COMMERCIAL paperwork accurately (timesheets, work orders, change orders, tool transfers).
Adhere to company, customer and industry safety and quality standards.
Complete other duties as assigned.
