Job summary

CHAOS Industries in Los Angeles area seeks a Communications Systems & Spectrum Compliance Lead in El Segundo, CA. You will own technical performance and regulatory readiness across data links, SATCOM, 5G, and field radios, ensuring legal operation before every mission.

You will evaluate emerging comms technologies, coordinate with legal/export-control teams, and travel 30–50% to deployments and demonstrations, while mentoring teammates and shaping deployment plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, RF Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years in RF/wireless systems engineering, spectrum management or telecom regulatory affairs.
• Hands-on with tactical radios (MPU5/SRW) and SATCOM terminals.
• Knowledge of ITAR/EAR and export-control regimes.

Responsibilities

• Own technical performance of CHAOS communications systems and networks.
• Design, test, validate link budgets and network architectures.
• Ensure regulatory readiness before deployments or demonstrations.
• Support field troubleshooting and remote collaboration to maintain uptime.
