Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a Communications Supervisor in Elko, NV to lead the Operational Technology group’s field teams deploying Autonomous Haulage and surface automation systems. You’ll ensure safety, budget adherence, and timely project milestones.

The role requires hands-on leadership, extensive experience with 2-way radio networks, Cisco/Motorola systems, and CFR compliance. Excellent benefits and growth opportunities across the organization are offered.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience operating a high-availability, operation-critical communications network.
• Five years in leadership/technical services within mining.
• Post-secondary education may substitute for experience.
• FCC Technician license with progression toward General Radiotelephone Operator's License.
• Proven safety leadership for self and team.
• Solid knowledge of wired/wireless protocols and standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate field deployment, diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of autonomous network hardware/software.
• Ensure compliance with design, regulatory, and safety requirements.
• Lead training for local teams and develop system-wide configuration standards.
• Monitor health of AHS systems and provide internal communication to stakeholders.
• Manage budget, forecasts, and reporting cadences for projects.
• Supervise eight technicians across multiple disciplines.
