Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Autonomous Systems Technician to support on-board system maintenance during the Automation Project and into operations at Cortez Operations in Elko, NV. You will collaborate with field and office personnel to ensure reliable autonomous haulage and quick fault resolution.

The role emphasizes hands-on calibration of GPS, LiDAR, cameras, and sensors, plus installation of hardware and networking on Heavy Mobile Equipment.

Qualifications

Five years practical experience in surface or underground mining roles preferred.
Autonomous systems or operational experience is preferred.
Demonstrated safety leadership capability required.
Excellent leadership, people, and communication skills required.
Verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications preferred.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with field and office personnel to support daily installation and productive haulage.
Identify issues or faults and report to supervision or partners.
Provide first response to truck faults and autonomous issues; troubleshoot and escalate as needed.
Maintain autonomous hardware to OEM standards and calibrate systems.
Train and develop competency in autonomous applications.
Maintain base truck functionality with daily inspections and lubrication.
Liaise with mechanical teams for in-field calibration of sensors and components.
Install and configure hardware, electrical, and network systems on Heavy Mobile Equipment.
Serve as point of contact for software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Develop deep knowledge of the AHS system and support functions.
Advise partners and OEM representatives with technical service information.
Schedule refueling and maintenance activities with internal partners.
Identify areas for optimization and communicate improvements.
Contribute to training models and SOPs for autonomous operations and maintenance.
Promote safe project communications and assess safety/production risks.
Ensure project budget adherence and reporting cadences.
Other responsibilities as needed.
