Job summary

Stantec's Buildings team is seeking a Commissioning/Validation Specialist to lead commissioning/validation for existing and new facilities, including bio-pharma and GMP environments, across North America. You will review designs, prepare protocols, assist in executing project plans, and coordinate with engineering and client teams to ensure compliance and performance.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering and 10+ years of related experience required; travel to

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with emphasis in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of related work experience.
• Travel to local office and client sites for project work is required.

Responsibilities

• Review shop drawings and equipment submittals; generate commissioning/validation plans, user requirement specifications, and lifecycle documents.
• Review designs, drawings, specifications of facility and equipment and automation to understand scope and requirements.
• Prepare commissioning/validation protocols adhering to specifications and client templates.
• Assist in executing project protocols and generating final reports for closure.
• Assist Director of Commissioning/Validation with client presentations and communications.
• Coordinate with other engineering and client disciplines to confirm alignment with design intent.
• Recognize and address technical problems; initiate corrective actions.
• Attend project coordination meetings.
• Support project managers for Commissioning/Validation projects.
