Job summary

Henderson Building Solutions is seeking a Commissioning Agent in Houston to lead building systems commissioning from planning through closeout. You will coordinate site visits, develop tests and reports, manage budgets, and work with clients, contractors, and vendors to meet project requirements.

The role demands strong communication, multi-tasking, and a thorough understanding of mechanical/electrical systems, with travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction or engineering preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Commissioning certifications (NEBB, BCxA, AABC, ASHRAE) required.
• Professional Engineering License preferred.
• OSHA training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains client relationships.
• Creates proposals based on RFPs or owner requests.
• Sets up projects and folders and coordinates site visits.
• Determines staffing requirements and manages project budgets.
• Reviews drawings and develops test scripts and checklists.
• Leads commissioning meetings and prepares final reports.
• Ensures owner project requirements and design documents are met.
• Interacts with subcontractors and maintains site observations.
