Job summary

Henderson Building Solutions is seeking a Commissioning Agent in Phoenix to lead planning, budgeting, and execution of building systems commissioning. You will work with clients, project teams, and vendors to ensure project requirements and owner expectations are met.

Responsibilities include coordinating site visits, developing test scripts, managing staffing and budgets, and producing final commissioning reports. Travel up to 50% and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field of construction or engineering preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Commissioning certification(s) required (NEBB, BCxA, AABC, ASHRAE)
• Professional Engineering License preferred
• OSHA training preferred
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to read drawings and understand specifications and how they translate into a building
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work independently with minimal oversight
• Understanding of building energy codes and LEED commissioning requirements
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam and related tools

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains client relationships.
• Creates proposals for work based on RFPs or owner requests.
• Sets up projects and folders.
• Coordinates scheduling of site visits with contractors and clients.
• Determines staffing requirements to complete projects.
• Manages project billing and budgets.
• Reviews owner project requirements and basis of design documents; construction plans and specs.
• Reviews drawings and maintains a record of comments.
• Generates checklists and tests for equipment.
• Leads commissioning meetings and site visits for functional testing.
• Generates final reports and project closeout documentation.
• Identifies, secures, and/or manages relationships with outside organizations, potential clients and owners.
• Maintains high level of client satisfaction to gain repeat business.
