Job summary

Henderson Building Solutions seeks a Commissioning Agent to join our Houston team. You will plan, manage, and execute building systems commissioning, retro-commissioning, and ongoing commissioning services, coordinating with clients, project teams, and vendors to meet owner expectations.

The role oversees projects from planning through closeout, serves as a technical resource, supports staff development, and assists with scheduling to ensure successful delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a construction or engineering field.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Commissioning certifications such as NEBB/BCxA/AABC/ASHRAE.
• PE license preferred.
• OHSA training preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications and translate to building systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains client relationships.
• Creates proposals for work based on RFPs or owner requests.
• Sets up projects and folders.
• Coordinates scheduling of site visits with contractors and clients.
• Determines staffing requirements to complete projects.
• Manages project billing and budgets.
• Reviews drawings and creates checklists for testing.
• Leads commissioning meetings and site visits.
• Generates final reports and owner project requirements.
