Job summary

Turner Construction Company – Memphis Main division is seeking a seasoned Commissioning Lead to manage end-to-end commissioning for new and retrofit facilities. You will coordinate with architects, engineers, trade partners, and QC/MEP teams to ensure compliant operations and schedule integrity.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 12+ years in general construction in MEP, 5+ years commissioning, and knowledge of ASHRAE processes and BMS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field with 12+ years of general construction experience (MEP Engineer/Superintendent or related).
• Minimum 5 years of commissioning experience bridging field and engineering responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems and construction processes; USACE CQMC certification highly recommended.
• ASHRAE Commissioning certification or in-depth understanding of ASHRAE processes for commissioning levels 1–5.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end commissioning activities Level 1–5 for new or retrofit facilities.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, trade partners, and operations to streamline project delivery.
• Implement policies to support project schedule, contractual obligations, and compliant project delivery.
• Coordinate with QC and MEP teams for checklists, engineering documents, and commissioning activities.
• Manage start-up and commissioning schedules integrated into the project schedule.
• Collaborate with OFCI equipment vendors and provide feedback to QC Managers.
• Facilitate commissioning meetings and QC plan communications.
• Develop project-specific QC Plan and populate online equipment database.
• Oversee Quality and Closeout dashboards; identify trends and communicate issues.
